Project Description

Micro-porous insulation brick

Brief introduction of composition of raw materials and manufacturing technique:
(1) Composition of raw materials: Modified perlite, 0~-AI203 micro powder and silica sol.
(2) Manufacturing technique: After evenly stirring several kinds of raw materials in a high speed mixer, put them into a steel mould to be
compression molding; after demolding, put them aside naturally for a period of time and then bake them under high temperature.

Comparing with traditional refractory insulation materials, it has the following advantages:

(1) Comparing with refractory insulation bricks such as diatomite bricks and floating particle bricks, it has the following advantages:
A. Smaller heat conductivity coefficient:
400~C hotsurface heat conductivity coefficient; the heat conductivity coefficient of floating particle bricks and diatomite bricks(density: 0.8) is about 0.3w/m.k and that of micro-porous insulation brick is a bout 0.1w/m.k.
B. Smaller density:
The micro-porousinsulation brick is divided into three models: 0.3 g/cms, 0.35 g/cms and 0.45 g/cms, but the density of traditional refractoryinsulation bricksis basically about 0.8 g/cms; therefore, it can substantially reduce the weight of insulation layers and bearing ofsteelstructures.
C. Under the premise of not changing the thickness of insulation layers, it can greatly reduce cold surface temperature; Or under the premiseof not changing the cold surface temperature, it can greatly reduce the thickness of insulation layers.
D. Larger special-shaped products can be manufactured, which can reduce mortar joint when laying bricks and are beneficial to improvingthermal insulation performance.

(2) Comparing with aluminum silicate fiber or rock-wool insulation products, the micro-porousinsulation brick hasthe following advantages:
A. The refractory fiber producfs basically have no bearing strength; fherefore fhey cannot be used for purposes needing a certain compressive strength such as bottoming and bearing, etc. However, compressive strength of the micro-porous insulation brick can be more than 1 MPa.
B. Aluminum silicate fiber producfs confain a certain organic maffers a s binding agents, which will be pulverization after being used a period of fime under high temperature. However, the micro-porousinsulation brick completely does not contain organic matfers; therefore itsservice life will be many times longer.
C. Fiber products may have some bad skin stimulus, but the micro-porous insulation brick will not have such skin stimulus.
